About Pumpday

Pumpday is an independent website that shows the regulated price of petrol, diesel, paraffin and LP gas for every South African magisterial district. It is not linked to the government, the Central Energy Fund or any fuel company.

The site exists because the official numbers are public but scattered: a statement on one site, a spreadsheet in a zip file on another, a district list in a 2011 PDF. We put them together, update them on adjustment days and keep the archive.

Pumpday is funded by advertising. If you spot a wrong price or a town in the wrong zone, the methodology page explains where to check it against the official files.
