Two paraffin prices

Illuminating paraffin has a wholesale price per zone (R24.47 in Gauteng, R23.42 at the coast) and one national ceiling for retail sales in the customer’s own container, R31.82 a litre from Wednesday 7 October.

The retail cap matters most to households that cook, heat and light with paraffin; shops and spazas may not charge more than the ceiling for loose paraffin.
